Overview

The Indo-US Joint Center for Advanced Research in Machine Learning, Game Theory and Optimization is a networked joint center that brings together research groups in machine learning, game theory and optimization for collaborative exchanges at the following institutions: Indian Institute of Science, Harvard University, Carnegie Mellon University, Masschusetts Institute of Technology, University of California Berkeley, University of Pennsylvania, Microsoft Research India, IBM Research India, and Bell Labs India.

The joint center aims to promote high quality research in the fields of machine learning, game theory and optimization, as well as their increasingly exciting interface which promises to offer new opportunities for fundamental insights and principled solutions for a variety of important engineering problems. The joint center grew out of interest in developing a collaborative program at the interface of these disciplines following an Indo-US symposium organized in Bangalore in November 2010.
